Anatomical Observation of the Cephalothoracopagus

Abstract
Author observed a case of cephalothoracopagus of uniovular tiwns origin. The degree of development in both sides was almost same.
The features of specific organs were as follows:
1. Face:. They had two faces, anterior and posterior with almost normal figure except lack of nasal septum in the posterior face.
2. Brain: Both brains were fused as frontal pole of the frontal lobes and hypophyseal fossa revealed a common fossa which was communicated to the common pharynx but could not recognize any hypophysis in the fossa. pharyngeal mucosa was protruded through-the opening of the hypophyseal fossa.
3. Oral cavity: Anterior and posterior oral cavities were communicated with common pharynx.
4. Thoracic wall and lungs: They were well separated with normal development.
5. Heart: Both of them had each separated heart but posterior heart was poorly developed.
6. Aorta: Both aortae were anastomosed through large artery.
7. Spleen: Spleen of right fetus was migrated in the thoracic cavity through the opening of the diaphragm.
8 Gastrointestinal tract: Esophagus, stomach and upper two third of small intestine were common channel.
9. Umbilical artery: Both fetus had only right umbilical artery.
10. Testicles: Right testicles of both fetus were remained in the abdominal cavity.
